320 households without internet for a week

In Hauts-de-France, news items involving cable thieves have become commonplace. We have already seen the streetlights of entire streets emptied of their precious copper wires. This time, the criminals also attacked a large piece by stealing no less than 1,500 meters of a network cable along the departmental 38 which connects the municipalities of Quevauvillers and Namps-Maisnil.

It was the operator Orange who made the discovery, indicating that this theft deprived 320 homes of Namps-Maisnil of Internet connection. Orange also clarified that customers of other operators were impacted. A complaint was filed and an investigation opened. In the meantime, the disconnected will have to be patient, Orange having estimated that the repair could take a week.
