The continuation of his police custody confirmed his initial statements. On Thursday, the 32-year-old man suspected of having killed his 18-year-old wife on Tuesday in Morlaix reiterated his remarks, admitting to being the author of the fatal blows which cost his companion the life. “Jealousy would be, according to him, the reason for this passage to the mortal act”, indicated Camille Miansoni, the public prosecutor of Brest (Finistère), without specifying the context.
Tuesday morning, the lifeless body of Clara de Rivas was found in the bed of an apartment on rue de Kerfraval, in Morlaix. Covered with a blanket, the body bore the scars of the intervention of a third party, especially on the neck and face. It is not yet clear what caused the death. The autopsy had made it possible to establish that “several lesions, in particular to the face and neck” were “likely to have caused death”.
Already convicted of domestic violence
Some sources mention the presence of a baby in the next room. The respondent is a 32-year-old man. He had already been sentenced this year to a suspended prison sentence for domestic violence.
Presented to an investigating judge, the latter remained silent, refusing to comment on the facts. “He was indicted by the head of prevention referred to in the introductory indictment. He risks life imprisonment for this crime, ”adds the Brest prosecutor.
