The speed reduced again Thursday in Ile-de-France

Due to an episode of fine particle pollution, the measures to reduce the authorized speed by 20 km / h and to ban the use of individual wood heating have been renewed for Thursday in Ile-de-France, announced the Paris police headquarters on Wednesday.

“The measures are renewed for the day of November 11 from 5:30 am to 11:59 pm,” the police headquarters (PP) said on Twitter on Wednesday.

A higher concentration of fine particles

In order to reduce fine particle pollution, the PP decided to lower again for Thursday to 110 km / h the maximum speed allowed on highways, to 90 km / h on roads limited to 110 km / h and 70 km / h. h on those limited to 90 km / h or 80 km / h. HGVs over 3.5 tonnes must necessarily bypass the area by the Ile-de-France ring road.

Like Wednesday, the PP also prohibits the use of individual heating with auxiliary or pleasure wood “which contributes most strongly to the emission of fine particles”. Airparif, which measures air quality in Ile-de-France, predicted for Wednesday a “concentration of fine particles PM10 of between 55 and 70?” g / m³, ie a probable exceeding of the information-recommendation threshold set at 50? g / m ”, explained the prefecture in a statement released Tuesday.
