The layer of snow will be particularly heavy from the first hills in the departments placed on orange alert. The axis of precipitation will gradually fall towards the Pyrenees, losing its intensity in the afternoon. On the other hand, the rains will increase and will give high accumulations on the Isle of Beauty.

Up to 15 degrees on the Côte d’Azur

Further north, beautiful clearings will be present from the morning north of a line linking Normandy to Burgundy-Franche-Comté, apart from in Val de Saône, where the fogs will be locally freezing. These clearings will widen towards the south over the hours. Despite everything, certain areas of Auvergne will sometimes remain under the gray for quite a long time. The tramontane will rise during the day with 60 to 70 km/hour, then the mistral will locally gust to 80 km/hour.
