Halo is an iconic video game license, but a true development hell for cinema. Since its inception twenty years ago, Hollywood has sought to adapt the story of Master Chief and humanity’s fight against an alien coalition called the Covenant, to no avail. Peter Jackson, Neill Blomkamp and Guillermo del Toro have broken their teeth for the big screen, and we wrote in 2018 “this time, it’s the right one, a series Halo announced by Showtime ”, but in fact still not. However, we should not completely despair, since a live series adaptation will see the light of day, the proof with a first teaser unveiled during the twenty years of the Xbox.

Actor Pablo Schreiber (The Wire) embodies the famous Master Chief in a $ 200 million project and episodes directed by Otto Bathurst, Jonathan Liebesman and MJ Bassett, all scheduled for early 2022 on the new Paramount + platform.
