EDUCATION – It’s becoming clearer. In the wake of his press conference during which Emmanuel Macron reaffirmed his obsession with school uniforms, the first names of the establishments which will participate in the experiment at the start of the 2024 school year were revealed by the Élysée.

Franceinfo And BFMTV received on Wednesday January 17 the list of 59 schools, colleges and high schools which will implement standard uniforms for their students this year. Applications from around forty additional establishments are currently being evaluated.

As of Tuesday evening, the Head of State published on his X account (formerly Twitter) an approximate map with schools located in the Paris region, in the North or on the Mediterranean coast. A handful of middle and high schools completed this map. If the experiment is a success, generalization will take place in 2026.
