German rush-hour traffic has it all – especially in the Ruhr area. The Rolling Stones know that now. The police could help…

Mick Jagger (79), Keith Richards (78) and Co. also have to struggle with the German rush hour traffic. As the “West German General Newspaper” and the “Rheinische Post” according to reports, citing local police, the musicians from The Rolling Stones suddenly found themselves stuck in a traffic jam on the A2 on Wednesday evening. They were on their way to the Veltins Arena for their concert in Gelsenkirchen.

Fearing that they would not be able to be there in time, the team immediately called the police, who then escorted the car with the band members out of the traffic jam. From the Gelsenkirchen-Buer exit, the police accompanied the rockers into the stadium with blue lights. It was so easy to get through the traffic in the Ruhr area and the concert in front of around 50,000 visitors to their “Sixty” tour for the 60th stage anniversary of the Stones could start on time. The band has their last Germany appearance of the current tour on August 3rd at the Berlin Waldbühne.
