the repeal of the reform will not be examined, announces the President of the National Assembly

There will be no vote by deputies on Thursday on the repeal of the pension reform,
declared this Wednesday the President of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet, on BFMTV. “Tomorrow, whatever happens, there will be no repeal of the pension reform”did she say.

The National Assembly should examine the Liot group’s bill on the repeal of the reform
which raises the retirement age to 64, but Yaël Braun-Pivet announces that she will block the examination of the measure.

Article 40, which prohibits any proposal endangering public finances, unsheathed

This proposition was emptied last week in committee of its main article, which repeals
raising the retirement age to 64.

The Liot group and the left, who intended to vote for the repeal, feared that the president of the Assembly would draw article 40 of the Constitution. It allows a text to be rejected before it is discussed, on the grounds that it endangers public accounts, an argument she reiterated on Wednesday.
