The reality check of the dream job as a firefighter – economy

Hirsch is the train driver at fire station 1 in Munich, so today he’s in charge when the fire engine has to be called out. Nevertheless, he talks quite relaxed about why being a firefighter is his dream job. “It’s just a calling and the team is like a second family to me.” Anyone who talks to the 53-year-old quickly realizes that a firefighter’s qualities also include a good deal of composure.
