The Poinger police may be on the trail of a gang of thieves – Ebersberg

The Poinger police are now possibly on the trail of a whole gang of thieves: a 31-year-old man who wanted to steal liquor bottles was arrested in a supermarket in Schwaben on Wednesday afternoon. According to the police, an employee of the food retail store noticed the man when he deposited liquor bottles on another shelf and put the empty cardboard packaging back on the liquor shelf. Thanks to further investigations, it was possible to prove that the accused had already committed two shopliftings in the same shop: The officers clearly identified him as the perpetrator on the basis of photos.

Since there were already two wanted notices against the man, he was first arrested and brought before the magistrate after consultation with the public prosecutor’s office. According to the police, it is also likely that other accomplices were involved in each of the crimes, and it can be assumed that the procedure was commercial, according to a press release on Friday. An investigation group from the police inspection in Poing is now examining whether the group could be considered for further shoplifting in the wider area.
