Playboy twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon are making serious allegations against the late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. There is talk of sex that was “like rape” for her, sexually transmitted diseases and an abortion.

For the documentary series “Secrets of Playboy,” twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon spoke about their life with then 83-year-old Hugh Hefner. The episode, titled “Behind The Girls Next Door,” gives a gruesome look at how the Playboy mogul allegedly forced the two then 18-year-old girls to have sex and what went on during their time at the Playboy Mansion.

Today the twins are 32 years old. But when they met Hefner, they were only 18 and therefore not even of legal age. In the United States, 21 is considered an adult. Raised by their grandmother in Clearwater, Florida, the two were working at the Hooters-style restaurant when they were spotted for a Playboy test shoot.

The Shannon twins didn’t know what they were getting themselves into

They became the Playmates in July and August 2009 and thus reprinted in Playboy. Being twins automatically caused a stir. Hugh Hefner also became aware of the siblings and wrote them a letter inviting them to move into the “Playboy Mansion” with him. A then-known Hugh Hefner estate where many Playmates lived with the founder. The twins claim in the documentary show they didn’t know at the time that the invitation was subject to conditions. Karissa Shannon said, “Hell no, I didn’t think an 80-year-old man would sleep with all these women.”

The twins turned 19 a few months after moving into the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles. A night to celebrate, but the opposite was the case. That night they should have realized what they had gotten themselves into, as they described it on the TV show. They are said to have been very drunk and Hugh Hefner took advantage of the situation. They claimed that Hefner began “pushing both of their heads into his crotch with hard pressure to give him oral sex.”

Karissa Shannon continued, “He wasn’t even done. Just imagine, his old hand was shaking as he touched the breast. It’s like having sex with your grandpa. Then he lay there and looked up and said, ‘My babies, my babies. You love me.'” The twins waited for Hefner to fall asleep. When he did, “We walked down the hall to the guest room we were staying in. We got in the shower, steaming hot. Our skin was red from trying to sterilize ourselves like that,” Karissa Shannon said. Her sister added, “After that night, I didn’t feel like I owned my body anymore. I felt used, disgusted. Every time I did it to him, it was an assault. For me, it was like a rape,” she said of sex with Hefner.

Hugh Hefner is said to have spread STDs in the house

This “ritual” is said to have been repeated countless times. From that moment on, to make the suffering more bearable, the twins kept drinking alcohol in the evenings. “At one point, an STD was going around,” Kristina claimed. “We caught chlamydia. I remember walking into Mary O’Connor’s office, his assistant, I’d say housemother to us – and she said, ‘Well, that’s what happens when you’re sexually active’. ” From that moment on, the twins tried to avoid sexual contact with Hugh Hefner altogether. However, he realized that something was wrong and is said to have said: “If we love him and we want to be his girlfriends, then we would have to have sexual encounters with him,” says Karissa Shannon.

During a preliminary examination for plastic surgery, the shock came: Karissa Shannon was pregnant by Hugh Hefner. She asked the doctors not to tell anyone and decided to have an abortion, she said. “I felt disgusted with my body,” she continued. “I felt like there was something like an alien inside me. I was disgusted. I just wanted to get it over with.”

At the age of 20, the twins made the leap. They said Hugh Hefner was still trying to find a compromise where he would halve their $1,000-a-week allowance if they stayed close and lived in the “bunny house” off the main house. But the agreement was short-lived. They eventually separated when Hefner married Crystal Harris Hefner, his third and last wife.

Over a decade after living with Hugh Hefner, the Shannon twins said they still suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder from the time. “He had so much power. It’s like being in a cult,” said Kristina Shannon.

Playboy also commented on the interview in the docuseries: “We believe in the women and their stories and we strongly support the people who have reached out to share their experiences.” The statement also said, “Today’s playboy is not Hugh Hefner’s playboy.”
