The Dordogne gendarmerie released on Monday the photo of the man wanted for an attempted homicide on Sunday in Cardin-Saint-Lazare, near Sarlat. He violently assaulted his ex-concubine’s companion, before fleeing into the woods. The 29-year-old man is described in the call for witnesses as being 1.83 m tall, of athletic build and with a beard. Anyone with useful information to locate it is invited to contact 05 53 50 60 07.
The prefect of the Dordogne Frédéric Périssat said during a press point on Monday that he is “potentially very dangerous” and armed. Nearly 300 gendarmes were mobilized on the spot and the 1,800 inhabitants of the Perigord commune were confined.
