Brühl can soon be seen in a series about Karl Lagerfeld. His new film project was announced in Cannes – with the winner of the Palme d’Or for “Triangle of Sadness”.
Actor Daniel Brühl wins Cannes in new film Ruben Östlund will play. The 45-year-old’s management confirmed a corresponding report from “Screen” magazine on Wednesday. Hollywood stars Kirsten Dunst and Keanu Reeves are set to take on additional roles.
Östlund, who won the Palme d’Or in 2022 for his satire “Triangle of Sadness”, had already announced the project. The film “The Entertainment System is Down” is supposed to tell the story of a long-haul flight where the so-called in-flight entertainment fails. For example, films that are usually made available to passengers during long flights. The people on the plane would therefore have to subject themselves to the “horror” of being bored, wrote “Screen”. Filming should therefore start at the beginning of 2025.
Brühl will soon also be seen in the series “Becoming Karl Lagerfeld,” which starts on Disney+ on June 7th.
