The petition in support of Nantes Révoltée already exceeds 15,000 signatures

“We, readers, independent media, support Nantes Révoltée and oppose the dissolution of independent media, and intend to unite against the government’s authoritarian offensive against dissenting voices. As soon as the announcement of the opening of a dissolution procedure targeting Nantes Révoltée, the far left collective launched a
support petition. This Wednesday, less than a day after its online publication, it crossed the 15,000 signature mark. And, at the rate of sharing, the counter could quickly climb higher.

Regularly criticized for his radical positions towards the police and the authorities, Nantes revolted is, this time, singled out for having called for participation in an “anti-fascist” demonstration on Friday evening, which was tarnished by material damage and clashes with the police. For almost ten years, this group has launched numerous calls to demonstrate in the city center. He is also a media author of
printed journals.

“Asphyxiate the oppositions, the counter-powers”

“We are collectively undergoing a conditioning enterprise, brainwashing, an extremely violent collapse of our imaginations. But for those in power, this is never enough. It is still necessary to silence the voices, tiny, which try to make independent information live, ”denounces the press release in support of the petition.

“This administrative procedure aims to asphyxiate the oppositions, the counter-powers, continues the text. It is an outright attack on freedom of the press and freedom of expression by a tiny caste that no longer represents anything but itself. […] We have good news: a regime this weak, this feverish, this grotesque, is a regime on the verge of collapse. »

On its networks, Nantes Révoltée also offers its followers the opportunity to express support by making a financial donation or by ordering magazines. Jean-Luc Mélenchon (LFI), Philippe Poutou (NPA) and the CGT union have been among the supporters displayed in Nantes Révoltée for twenty-four hours.
