The Paul de Part-Dieu bakery urgently closed by the health authorities

Administrative closures for breaches of hygiene rules continue in Lyon. After restaurants and butchers, it is the turn of a bakery from the Paul chain, located in the Part-Dieu shopping center, to be “emergency closed”.

The brand was inspected on April 16 by the health authorities who noted numerous failings and who decided to sell the activity in the face of a “probability of contamination” and “risk of poisoning” for customers.

Around twenty corrective measures recommended by health workers

The prefectural decree, displayed on the window of the establishment and identified by Progress, indicates the presence of midges and mouse droppings. But also “the dilapidated condition of the preparation premises” and “the marked lack of maintenance and cleaning of the production and storage premises”.

The control services therefore recommended “around twenty corrective measures” such as the implementation of an effective pest control plan and thorough cleaning operations, in order to allow the reopening of the bakery.

The latter can only take place after verification by an agent, specifies the local daily. He also recalls that another store of the same brand in the 2nd arrondissement had been closed a month earlier due to risks of poisoning for the customer.
