The new Navibus line and its new pier will open at the end of 2024

In autumn 2024, a new river link will connect Nantes to Rezé by means of a Navibus. It will make round trips between Bas-Chantenay and Trentemoult, where a new pier called “Trentemoult aval” will be set up. This is what Nantes Métropole announced on the occasion of the launch of the public consultation for this mobility project. The creation of this line was already planned but its commissioning was previously mentioned for 2022-2023.

The new Rezéen landing stage will be set up at the level of the old Sablières, 300 m from the current “Trentemoult-Roquios” landing stage. It will accommodate not only the boats of the new Navibus line but also those of the current N1 line which connects Trentemoult to the Nantes maritime station.

A tourist line in the boxes

The work will therefore consist of creating a pontoon, a footbridge, as well as a passenger waiting area. This new pier will also be accompanied by the creation of a 140-space park and ride, rue de la Californie. Residents are invited to give their opinion on these projects until 20 November.

Semitan currently offers two Navibus lines on the Loire (N1 and N2) and one on the Erdre (N3), which totaled more than 755,000 passengers last year. Beyond 2024, another river shuttle, with a more touristic vocation, is envisaged to serve the Maritime Station, the Banana Shed, the Extraordinary Garden and Trentemoult.
