The abbreviation stands for “Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response”. The official definition of this reaction is “the subjective experience of ‘low-level euphoria'” characterized by “a combination of positive feelings and a marked static tingling sensation on the skin.” This has been a phenomenon on the Internet for more than ten years. There are videos with acoustic and visual stimuli. Whispers and rustles, for example, the sights of liquid chocolate being smoothed out or a knife dividing a melon.
