On Friday, a newborn baby was found dead in a bag next to a trash can on a sidewalk in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis). The same day, a 19-year-old young woman confessed to infanticide to the police, according to information from the Parisian. The young mother would have given birth on Friday and hid the pregnancy from her relatives.
The baby had been discovered a hundred meters from the town hall by garbage collectors in a plastic bag when he was not wearing any clothes and his umbilical cord was still present. The young woman, who was taken to hospital in Saint-Denis, lives in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine.
