The minor attacked this weekend was arrested

The minor attacked during the weekend in Grande-Synthe (North), cousin of one of the two indicted for “assassination” after the fatal attack on Philippe Coopman on April 16, was placed in police custody on Monday , AFP learned from the Dunkirk prosecutor.

The arrested teenager, aged 15, was himself attacked during the night from Friday to Saturday, and taken to hospital. Two minors aged 14 and 15 have already been indicted and placed in pre-trial detention on Friday for the death of Philippe Coopman.

A possible ambush

The two indicted say they “set up a meeting” with Philippe Coopman via a dating website, posing as a minor, she explained, specifying that the motive for the attack was not not clearly established.

There are, at this stage of the investigation, reasons to believe that this is a “murder aggravated by the circumstance of ambush”, Charlotte Huet, Dunkirk prosecutor, explained at a press conference on Friday. .
