The MHSC announces the death of a former hope of the training center

Mickaël Virad, a former hopeful of Montpellier Hérault Sport Club, has died, the football club announced on Tuesday on its website. Spotted by the MHSC on Reunion Island, he dreamed of a professional career. Arrived in Montpellier in August 2018, he had been hospitalized in January 2019. He lived in a vegetative state, after suffering a cardiac arrest, explained Free lunch in 2020. He was 20 years old.

He was then transferred to a care facility in Balaruc-les-Bains, near Sète. At the announcement of this tragedy, in 2019, his parents had settled in the prefecture of Hérault in order to stay close to him. “Our thoughts go out to his parents and his sister Leïla, to his family and friends, his former teammates and coaches,” the club pays tribute to him.
