When the first episodes of the show “The Masked Singer” were broadcast in the summer of 2019, there was huge enthusiasm. The viewers enjoyed the format enormously, and in 2020 there was also the German Television Award in the “Best Entertainment Show” category. The tenth season is now starting at ProSieben – and there will be some changes.
Instead of Ruth Moschner, Palina Rojinski is on the advice team. Rick Kavanian will be seen alongside her. The comedian had already stood in for musician Álvaro Soler last season. However, nothing changes in the rule that a third guest joins every week. In the first episode it will be musician Max Giesinger. He was part of the permanent “The Masked Singer” guessing team in the first season. “I’m really looking forward to being there again at the start of the anniversary relay! Let’s see, maybe I’ll have a slightly better hit rate this time,” said Giesinger.
Five masks are known in advance and there is a change there too. A different star will be in the costume of the mystery every week – and will be unmasked at the end of the episode. So two masks will be dropped every Saturday. A total of 14 celebrities will be there – more than ever before. As usual, the show will be moderated by Matthias Opdenhövel.
