On December 26th, ProSieben will broadcast “The Masked Singer – The Enigmatic Christmas Show”. These rate stars and these masks are there.
A successful ProSieben mask show says goodbye with a special from 2021: “The Masked Singer – The Enigmatic Christmas Show” can be seen on Sunday, December 26th from 8:15 pm on ProSieben and on Joyn. In the “Masked Singer” offshoot, three Christmas masks compete against each other.
The concept and special guest
In the popular rate show’s Christmas special, three masked singers fight for victory. “The Masked Singer – The Enigmatic Christmas Show” will be presented again by Matthias Opdenhövel (51), who has already moderated the last five seasons of the format.
At his side is the comedian Bülent Ceylan (45) through the show. Born in Mannheim, he took part in the very first season of “The Masked Singer” in 2019 and came third as “Der Engel”. Only Gil Ofarim (39, Der Grashüpfer, second place) and Max Mutzke (40, Der Astronaut, first place) were ahead of him. In the subsequent second season in spring 2020, he was a guest member of the advice team. In autumn 2020 he became a one-time permanent member alongside Sonja Zietlow (53) in season three.
The advice team
The also established “TMS” stars Andrea Sawatzki (58), Ruth Moschner (45) and Rea Garvey (48) are part of the team at Christmas. Moschner and Garvey are permanent members of the advice team, Sawatzki unmasked as axolotl last season.
The masks
Together with the spectators, the guessing team can puzzle over who is hiding under a total of three new masks and the corresponding cute costumes. Also included are the goose, the reindeer and the gift. “The reindeer is happy to have survived the Christmas stress. Now the fun can start on the ‘The Masked Singer’ stage,” announced ProSieben. The present “is still looking for its future owner” and the goose “has survived the Christmas feast and is now chattering happily on the ‘Masked Singer’ stage”.
