“Die Höhle der Löwen” is now one of the most popular television programs in Germany. Now the broadcaster VOX has announced the new season for 2022 – and there is also a new lioness.

When “The Lion’s Den” is on on Monday evenings, millions of people tune in regularly. Fans of the show can now look forward to a new season that the broadcaster VOX has announced for the fall. The jury also has a small surprise to offer: For the first time, a well-known German influencer is sitting on a DHDL chair as an investor.

First of all: The well-known and popular jury from the last season of Carsten Maschmeyer, Nico Rosberg, Ralf Dümmel, Dagmar Wöhrl, Nils Glagau, Judith Williams and Georg Kofler will remain in the new season.

As in previous seasons, not all “lions” can always be present at the shoot – illnesses or the tight schedule mean that “guest lions” are sometimes used.

For such a case, there is also a guest lioness this season – and many viewers will already know her from Youtube, Instagram, Tiktok or Linkedin: It is none other than the German influencer Diana zur Löwen.

Although Diana zur Löwen started her career as an influencer, she has already gained initial experience investing in start-ups. Among others, she has already invested in Nelly, Ostrom, Femtasy and Junto. Diana zur Löwen already has concrete plans for her investments at “DHDL”: “My focus when it comes to investments will be primarily on the digital area, which, together with the focus on sustainability, is very important to me.”

Martin Rütter & Co.: These celebrities pitch at DHDL

In addition to the star investor, fans will also see some prominent faces on the other side of the negotiating table. The founders include VOX “dog professional” Martin Rütter and two-time Olympic champion Kristina Vogel.

Season 12 is again about a lot of money: Two start-ups are pitching to the lions for an investment of one million euros – a founding team even wants to be supported with 1.5 million euros.

For the first time, founders with hearing impairments are also on the show. They will be supported by a sign language interpreter during their pitch.
