The case of climate activist Kathrin Vogler is part of the story about the demolition of Lützerath, which is not lacking in political symbolism anyway. For four days and three nights she camped at the edge of the cliff and opposed the police evacuation squads. A yellow safety vest identified her as a “parliamentary observer”. Vogler has been a member of the Bundestag for Die Linke since 2009 and is the state spokeswoman for her party in North Rhine-Westphalia.
