The world is looking at Argentina and its new president: The right-wing populist Javier Milei wants to turn the crisis-ridden country upside down with a “chainsaw plan”. The hero of the Argentine film “Los delincuentes”, which can be seen at the Latin American Film Days in Munich (Lafita), is also in a financial crisis: he steals money from his employer and has a plan to keep it even after the crime is discovered.
The festival has existed since 1986, and this year features, documentaries and short films from Colombia, Peru, Chile and Ecuador will be shown. They can be seen in Workshop cinema, Gasteig HP8 as well as that Luise Cultural Centeron the opening evening the documentary “Adieu sauvage” is on the program: In it, a Colombian living in Belgium with an indigenous vote travels back to his homeland.
