James Corden has revealed details about the finale of ‘The Late Late Show’. Fans can look forward to lots of singing and even more Kardashians.

The popular US show “The Late Late Show” with moderator James Corden (44) will end this April. Only twelve episodes are left, four will be broadcast per week (Monday to Thursday). As a guest at the PaleyFest in Los Angeles, Corden himself has now revealed what else is planned for the final episodes in order to make the farewell as fitting as possible.

Fans of the format can still look forward to the return of many popular “The Late Late Show” segments, quotes “Variety” corden. So there will be a new Carpool Karaoke episode in each of the three remaining weeks. Three times Corden is allowed to swing behind the steering wheel to say goodbye to merrily sing songs with his star guests while driving. Who that will be with is still a secret.

There will also be a final edition of “Crosswalk the Musical”. Corden and other stars, musicians and dancers storm a zebra crossing as a flash mob to surprise unsuspecting drivers and passers-by with a musical interlude. On a previous version Zendaya (26), Hugh Jackman (54) and Zac Efron (35) in sailor costumes participated in this elaborate performance.

Will James Corden be able to tame the Kardashians?

In addition, Corden sometimes faces his biggest task in eight years “The Late Late Show”. Because there should also be a last episode of “Take a Break”. In this segment, Corden takes over the job of another person, who is allowed to take a break during this time. In this way, he has already represented the mayor of Los Angeles or was even allowed to work as an assistant to Joe Biden (80) in the White House.

At the conclusion of the show, he will take a job within the large and glamorous Kardashian-Jenner clan, it is said. Chaos, drama and lots of situational comedy should be taken care of.

Big showdown with Tom Cruise

It has long been certain that the Brit will hand over the reins after a good eight years – on April 27th it will be time. Then Corden can look forward to the presence of superstar Tom Cruise (60) for the last episode, with whom he has already done various and mostly breakneck things. At the end, however, things get musical for both of them: On the show’s Instagram account It was revealed in February 2023 that they will be appearing together as the cult duo Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King.

At the PaleyFest, Corden spoke with mixed feelings about the fact that work will soon be over. “Breaking Bad” star Bryan Cranston (67), who led through the event, explained Corden’s difficult step with the words: “It feels incredibly strange and it’s an unnatural feeling to say goodbye to something that you do loves a lot. It doesn’t seem right because you’re having such a great time. But at the same time, I’m so sure it’s the right thing.”

Corden took over “The Late Late Show” in 2015 from Scotsman Craig Ferguson (60), who moderated the show for a year longer (2005-2014). Craig Kilborn (60) hosted the late-night show from 1999 to 2004, and Tom Snyder (1936-2007) started it from 1995 to 1999.
