One more variant. On his account Twitter, the IHU Méditerranée Infection in Marseille, and headed by Professor Didier Raoult, announced that it had detected a new variant in patients with Covid-19 and originating from Forcalquier, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. This variant was renamed by IHU.
The eyes of the world are currently on another variant, Omicron, which has appeared in southern Africa and which appears to have a higher rate of reinfection, but causing less severe symptoms, according to statements from the World Health Organization.
