The Hungarian minority in Ukraine wants to join the EU – politics

Viktor Orbán recently justified his rejection of EU accession negotiations with Ukraine primarily with corruption and war in the neighboring country. In Brussels, it is seen as an irony of history that the head of government, who is being denied billions of euros in funding due to massive corruption allegations, is accusing Ukraine of inaction in this regard. Věra Jourová, Vice President of the EU Commission, recently stated at the “15th Media Summit” in Lech, Austria, that Hungary’s behavior is one of the reasons why the EU heads of state are so skeptical about enlargement.
