the HR director of the Versailles rectorate has left his post

The director of human resources at the Versailles rectorate has left his position. He was at the origin of a letter described as a “letter of shame” addressed to the parents of Nicolas, a teenager victim of school bullying who committed suicide on September 5 in Poissy.

The HR director of the Versailles rectorate has left his post, RTL revealed Monday October 23. This departure comes more than a month after his “letter of shame” was made public.

This letter was sent to the parents of Nicolas, a 15-year-old teenager who ended up committing suicide on September 5, after months of school harassment. The document, written last May, referred to “supposed harassment” and deemed “unacceptable” the comments of parents who would have “questioned” the attitude of the establishment’s staff. This letter was condemned by Gabriel Attal who deemed it inadmissible.

Following its publication, the HR department received numerous threatening messages and calls. The Minister of National Education then went to the Versailles rectorate and the HR manager went on sick leave, before being replaced by his deputy director.

An administrative investigation is still underway to determine responsibilities within the rectorate in this matter.

The findings will be revealed in the coming days. A second investigation, launched by Gabriel Attal, should make it possible to take stock of the treatment of cases of school harassment in each academy.
