“The Gray Man” Premiere: Model Céline Bethmann and her new companion – style

For her: beach glamour

This is Celine Bethmann. At some point she won “Germany’s Next Top Model”, but now she still has the same problems as everyone else, namely questions like: What should you wear at a so-called event when it’s warm outside like in the oven? The make-up flows away, the hair frizzes, and the feeling of sweat, which makes its way down somewhere from chest height, is particularly unpleasant. La Bethmann has found a good solution for this: the cut-out dress. It looks like a bra connected to a skirt with a thin piece of fabric, and it may remind some of those unspeakable swimsuits of this type that are advertised anew every year but actually never worn except by hitchhikers on jetties. Where there is nothing, there is nothing to sweat, is the motto here, and there is actually nothing wrong with this dress, after all, not everyone has a Valentino budget. Only the black shoes have to be objected to because they not only clash aesthetically with this sky blue beach glamor look but also look heavily like swollen summer toes. Flat sandals, perhaps tied, would have been better! But maybe it wasn’t about the heat. Maybe it was about Ryan Gosling, because the event was the premiere of his film “The Gray Man”. The man wore a red riding jacket, and Céline Bethmann looked really good in these shoes.

For him: stay relaxed

The sidekick here is called Lukas Bossert and is a Berlin entrepreneur who, as we learn, has worked as a model for a long time. That’s good, that’s exactly the CV you want in Berlin. But no matter how much modeling experience you have, arriving appropriately dressed for a film premiere in midsummer is no easy task. Above 25 degrees, it is known to be difficult for men to appear reasonably dignified without having to fear heat stroke, while women can easily wear less and less without looking unfestive. Mr. Bossert has therefore opted for a heat compromise – little free skin, but also nothing formal. This is a good opportunity to talk about the free-hanging men’s shirt. Since the series “Queer Eye” there has been a lot about the right thing tucking speaking of shirts, out the back, in the front or vice versa – everything is possible. The very loose variant as shown here is still the most common offense in normal men. Mr. Bossert’s shirt is just about suitable for this. With classic shirts that have a long cut, where the hem forms a deep side slit and possibly also has a gusset, letting it hang out is a no-no – it looks extremely untidy. No, if you want to wear something unpadded in company, you need special Untuck shirts that are shorter and have a straight hem. And even with them there is an unfavorable emphasis on the abdomen, which is otherwise concealed by the waistband, belt and neatly tucked shirt. A small model background couldn’t hurt either.
