The government is going to inject an additional 150 million euros into the “Territories of industry” program, which notably makes it possible to relaunch new activities in basins hit by restructuring, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced on Monday in Lyon.

Boasting “an excellent example of partnership between the State and the regions”, the Prime Minister underlined, during a speech at the Global Industrie fair in Lyon, that since the launch of the device “1,080 projects have already been funded, as many ‘factories or workshops emerging from the ground all over the territory’.

Industrial development and public aid

“Given the success of this tool, I am announcing my decision to redotate this program up to 150 million euros to support quality projects that could not be selected, but above all to specifically strengthen support for territories hardest hit by industrial restructuring, ”added Jean Castex, specifying that“ these credits will be redeployed within the envelope of France relaunch ”.

Launched at the end of 2018 by the State, the Banque des Territoires and seven national operators, “Industry Territories” is a public device to accelerate industrial development and give new impetus to regions in difficulty, medium-sized towns and rural areas for the mostly.

The initial envelope of 400 million euros had already been replenished by 150 million in May 2021. This new replenishment will make it possible to fish out some of these projects, especially in the most affected areas.
