Vaccination figures are ahead – Fred TANNEAU / AFP

The goal, set by the government, of 30 million people vaccinated against Covid-19 should be reached on June 10, five days in advance, according to Doctolib, which also predicts that the threshold of 50% of the population will be crossed on June 21.

After barely passing the 20 million mark for first-time vaccines on May 15, that of the 30 million who received at least one dose against the coronavirus seems to be within reach a little earlier than expected. The executive has set the deadline for Tuesday, June 15, but according to the main platform for making medical appointments, the target will be exceeded as of Thursday, June 10.

Dynamics still on the rise

And the dynamic will continue: “According to our forecasts, 50% of the French population should have received a first injection before the end of the month”, in this case on Monday 21, declared the boss of Doctolib, Stanislas Niox-Chateau .

This Monday, the group already counted nearly 10 million injections scheduled for the month of June, including 2.3 million appointments for a first dose. Three quarters (73%) of these appointments were made by adults under the age of 50, now eligible for vaccination without age or “co-morbidity” conditions.
