Transported to the Nantes University Hospital with a vital prognosis, the child was until recent days placed under respiratory assistance.

The site closed since the accident

Usually taken by storm in fine weather, the beach has always been closed since the accident. Earlier this week, the town hall of Bouguenais indicated that it should not reopen before the beginning of July, the date from which lifeguards and mediators will be present. The site was not yet guarded on the day of the drowning.

Almost four years ago, a 7-year-old girl had already drowned in La Roche-Ballue. She could not be revived.
