The gas price falls? Why that’s a pity too – economy

Of course you can breathe a sigh of relief now. Gas is no longer incredibly expensive. For the first time since the Russian invasion, the average cost of new gas contracts has fallen below 12 cents per kilowatt hour, according to a consumer portal. Twelve cents is the limit that politicians have built into the gas price brake: Anyone who pays less does not receive a government subsidy on the heating bill. The new contracts are so low that intervention with tax money is no longer necessary. So that’s it with the energy price shock, is the situation not that bad anymore? This view imposes itself – but is fatal.
