The first star is out

On January 13, RTL sent twelve more or less well-known celebrities into the jungle. Now, a week later, one of them had to leave the camp.

Twelve stars moved to the jungle camp last week. All with the same intention: Each of them wants to hold the crown and the scepter in the grand finale on January 29th. But for one of this year’s contestants, the adventure in the Australian bush is now over.

While viewers have been calling every day for the past seven days to put at least one of the celebs in the test, lines were opened on Friday night to vote for the favorite. The star with the fewest calls had to leave the camp.

Verena Kerth has to go

On Friday evening it hit Verena Kerth. The moderator had no chance against the fans of the other campers and is therefore the first celebrity to be voted out by the viewers.

While the other stars expressed their horror at this decision and Claudia Effenberg even burst into tears, Verena Kerth remained calm. “It’s not that bad now. We’ll see each other again outside,” she tried to calm her comrades-in-arms. Even Sonja Zietlow was surprised: “I’m really surprised, actually I found her tough. She deserved to stay in longer,” said the moderator about Verena’s sacking.

These stars are behind t-online readers

The t-online readers did not see the ex of football legend Oliver Kahn at the bottom either. In our daily survey – who will reach the jungle throne this year – Markus Mörl and Cecilia Asoro recently received the fewest votes.

Lucas Cordalis was the favorite for a long time. According to the latest evaluation, however, the hit star was pushed into second place by model Papis Loveday. Verena Kerth stayed in the middle of the field when it came to voting throughout the week. The TV audience probably saw it differently.

Now eleven stars are still in the running for the jungle crown and a prize money of 100,000 euros. You can see who is still there in our photo show. The grand finale will take place on January 29th. For the first time in the “I’m a star – get me out of here!” story, RTL is showing the coronation on a Sunday. A day later the big reunion can be seen on TV.
