In 2019, the sporty young woman separated from her boyfriend at the time, Francpiero Del Medico. About two weeks later, her new boyfriend Ricky is staying in her apartment. It’s her second date.
That night, Tracy’s ex breaks into her apartment and shoots her new boyfriend in the head and face with a pistol. Tracy’s ex finally stabs him in the back with a knife(?).
As Tracy tries to escape, her jealous ex shoots her in the mouth, also stabs her in the back and genitals. Miraculously, both survive the brutal attack.
Francpiero del Medico is arrested and sentenced to 40 years in prison, according to SWNS.
Tracy is paralyzed from the neck down and she loses her left eye. From here on, she and her new partner, Ricky, have to relearn everything: swallow, eat, and even sit up straight. But the two are strong and their relationship has been strengthened by their shared destiny.
However, thanks to a lot of physiotherapy, Tracy can now move her hands and arms again. Here she discovered archery for herself. She uses her mouth and shoulder to hold and draw the bow.
She is now competing and training to attend the 2024 US Paralympics in Paris.
Ricky works with children with disabilities and teaches them weight training to strengthen their muscles.
Despite their tragic dating history, Tracy and Ricky are still together today and support each other.
