It was supposed to reopen on May 1, but ultimately this will not be possible. The A13 motorway, closed since April 18 between Vaucresson and Paris, remains closed for an as yet unknown period, announced the Hauts-de Seine prefecture. The reason ? “Very weak ground movements were observed. It therefore appears necessary to continue the investigations initiated and to carry out additional analyses,” indicate the authorities.
“A meeting of experts will take place on Monday April 29 to take a complete stock of the situation and specify the reopening timetable,” explains the prefecture in a press release published Friday evening. “Backfilling work was carried out last weekend as the first safety measures and all services are involved to restore the situation as quickly as possible,” she adds.
The A13 motorway connects Paris to Caen in Normandy via the south of Rouen. It is particularly used by Parisians wishing to go to the Normandy coast.
