The judicial investigation opened on Sunday morning against this 22-year-old man relates to criminal acts of involuntary homicide on the two-year-old girl who died and involuntary injuries with a total interruption of work (ITT) greater than three months for her four-year-old sister, said the public prosecutor of Saint-Etienne, David Charmatz. The latter is hospitalized in pediatric intensive care at the Lyon-Bron University Hospital, in serious condition.
An accidental fall?

The investigations carried out did not make it possible to establish that the minors were deliberately projected by their father from a window of the family apartment located on the 3rd floor, explained the prosecutor in a press release.

“A measure of educational assistance at home, accepted by the father who had been taking care of his children alone for a few months, was to be implemented by the services of the county council. Given the facts and the situation of the parents, the children’s judge will be seized in educational assistance of the situation of the four-year-old child, ”concluded the prosecutor.
