The exhibition “Solar Breath” at the Eres Foundation in Munich – Munich

The natural phenomenon can be magically beautiful – but in times of climate change, the mild breeze is increasingly turning into a storm. The exhibition “Solar Breath” at the Eres Foundation shows how artists react to this.

It’s wonderful to feel a mild breeze on your skin or to let yourself be carried by a gentle breeze on a sailing ship. The wind, the wind – a heavenly child. There is a lot of poetry and romance attached to the force of nature, but it is not uncommon for there to be a negative aspect. Mrs. Holle shakes up the clouds – but then it snows. Wind gods are personified by men with puffy cheeks – who stir things up with their long breath. People are usually only happy about windmills whose white sails turn in front of a bright blue sky. But these romantic images are now being overshadowed by the cool, objective sight of the rotor blades of modern wind turbines. But even those who are skeptical about the systems cannot avoid seeing a positive aspect of the usefulness of wind energy.
