The ex-partner was stabbed 72 times

The 36-year-old woman killed in a triple homicide in Dreux (Eure-et-Loir), for which her ex-husband was indicted, was stabbed 72 times, according to autopsy results revealed Thursday by the parquet floor of Chartres. In a press release, the public prosecutor of Chartres, Frédéric Chevallier, indicated that the 72 blows “given with the help of a sharp and prickly object, undoubtedly a knife”, had been “carried in the neck and on the the thorax, but also in the region of the pubis and its genital organ”.

In total, more than 100 stab wounds

The 36-year-old victim “died of hemopneumothorax”, an effusion of blood in the pleura. The suspect’s 13-year-old daughter was stabbed twelve times “on the chest and in the back”. The girl died from a section of the aorta. The third victim, an 18-month-old infant, received twenty stab wounds, “in the chest, in the back and in the carotid artery, the attack on the latter and the chest wounds having been fatal”.

Arrested Monday in Plaisir (Yvelines) after several days on the run, the ex-spouse, aged 46, was indicted for aggravated intentional homicide. He denied the facts before the investigators, according to the prosecution. The three lifeless bodies of the young woman and the two children were found on May 25 in a pavilion in Dreux. The couple was separated.
