The deadline for wishes postponed to this Thursday 10 p.m. due to an outage

Students who need to finalize their wishes on Parcoursup are entitled to a little additional time. The reason ? The higher education admissions platform was inaccessible on Wednesday evening, due to a “server availability problem”, according to the Ministry of Higher Education.

Initially, candidates had until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday to definitively confirm their wishes. They now have until 10 p.m. this Thursday to do so.

Excess connections would not be the cause

According to a message from the Parcoursup account, published Wednesday evening on X, “the Parcoursup site is temporarily unavailable. Our teams are mobilized to restore the situation as quickly as possible. To allow you to finalize your file, the deadline has been postponed to Thursday April 4, 10 p.m. (Paris time).”

The Ministry of Higher Education explains that a “server availability problem has been detected: it reduces the number of simultaneous connections on the platform. The diagnosis is currently in progress. On the other hand, the ministry assures that “the situation is not linked to an excess of connections. The platform is adapted to the flows it receives each year.”

Candidates had until Thursday March 14 inclusive to formulate a maximum of 10 wishes, not prioritized, then until Wednesday April 3 inclusive to finalize their file and confirm their wishes. For this final step postponed to this Thursday evening, the platform allows selected training to be deleted. However, it is not possible to add more.
