Investigators are looking in particular at messages published on her social networks a month earlier by Inès Corbière which are said to be of an anti-Semitic nature and to call for violent actions, following the Hamas attack against Israel on October 7, 2023. The account The young woman’s X (formerly Twitter) has since been deleted and then reactivated but closed to the public.

According to AFP, she wrote in particular about the march against anti-Semitism organized in November in Paris: “Good, who gets warmed up (to) go and destroy the Zionist there”. The qualification of the facts “is being assessed”, according to the prosecution. Asked by AFP, neither Raquel Garrido nor Alexis Corbière responded. “There will be no comments on the subject”explains Alexis Corbière’s entourage.

Since the attack on October 7, the number of anti-Semitic acts has jumped in France. In mid-November, at the National Assembly, the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin mentioned the figure of 571 arrests since January 1, 2023. According to Beauvau, 1,518 anti-Semitic acts had been recorded between October 7 and November 14.
