New trailer puts Diana in the spotlight

The first part of the final season of “The Crown” will be available from mid-November. Netflix has now released a trailer about Diana.
The sixth season of “The Crown” is highly anticipated. Not only does the Netflix series come to an end with the new episodes, the episodes will also be about Princess Diana (1961-1997), played by Elizabeth Debicki (33), and her fateful story. A new trailer for episodes one to four, which will be released on November 16th, shows Diana fighting the paparazzi, among other things.
“I don’t know how I ended up here. I’m rushing around and losing sight of myself,” one of the voiceovers says. “You really want this girl to find peace,” explains Imelda Staunton (67) as Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). “You’ve finally managed to turn this house upside down,” she turns to Diana at another point in a cool conversation, who replies: “That was never my intention.”
Aggressive pursuit by the paparazzi
Apparently there are also short scenes from Paris in which Diana gets into a car under the flashes of the paparazzi. Princess Diana and her partner Dodi Al-Fayed (1955-1997), played by Khalid Abdalla (42) in “The Crown”, died on August 31, 1997 when their car crashed in a tunnel in Paris.
Exactly how the series will portray the events is still unclear. Suzanne Mackie (38), executive producer of “The Crown”, addressed the concerns of royal fans at the Edinburgh TV Festival in August. There was “a very, very careful, long, long conversation” about it, she said, according to a BBC report. In the end, the audience will make their judgment, but she thinks that it was “implemented very carefully and thoughtfully.”
Regarding the content of the first part of the season, Netflix explains that Prince Charles (Dominic West, 54) and Princess Diana spend very different vacations with their sons in their first summer after their divorce. “Diana is courted by the Fayeds in the south of France and gives the young Princes William and Harry a taste of a life of luxury yachts, video games and movie nights together,” the announcement said. Charles, on the other hand, wants to stick to the traditional upbringing of his sons at Balmoral Castle. The press pounces on the different lifestyles until the persecution by the paparazzi in Paris ends tragically.
Diana’s death causes consternation around the world, her sons mourn their mother and the Queen remains silent, as the trailer shows. According to the synopsis, it will also be about Mohamed Al-Fayed (Salim Daw, 73) and how he deals with the loss of his son.
Overall, the finale of the Royal series covers the life of Queen Elizabeth II and her family from 1997 to 2005. The second part – episodes five to ten – will be shown from December 14th.
