The Castres Olympique training center tagged in the middle of the night

“Pierre Fabre steals your land”, “Zad by Toutatis”… These inscriptions were sprayed with black paint during the night from Saturday to Sunday on the walls of the training center of the Castres Olympic. It is located in Saïx, just a few hundred meters from La Crémade, where the diehard opponents of the A69 motorway between Castres and Toulouse are in the process of installing a Zone to Defend (ZAD) on private land. It is therefore towards them that suspicions turn after the deterioration of the facilities of the Castres rugby club, propelled into the fray on the A69, probably because it belongs to the Pierre Fabre pharmaceutical group.

“Unspeakable acts”

The industrial group, one of the largest employers in South Tarnais, has supported the rapid connection project between Toulouse and Castres for more than two decades. He is, along with political decision-makers, one of the main targets of opponents. The latter also announced last week launching targeted actions “against the institutions or pressure groups that pull the strings of this ecocidal project”, which they call “MafiA69”.

The prefect of Tarn, Michel Vilbois, condemned “unspeakable acts” in a press release on Sunday evening and demanded “exemplary sanctions against the perpetrators”.
