“The Carolin Kebekus Show” has risen again – with a dome show for clergy
Five clergymen on an island where they are not allowed to sin – Carolin Kebekus calls the format “Too Gott to Handle”.

Carolin Kebekus is back. At the start of the new season, the comedienne presents a peppery reckoning with the church – culminating in the show format “Too Gott to Handle”.
Just in time for Easter, Carolin Kebekus is back with her show and has put her opening show on the occasion of the upcoming religious holiday under a suitable motto: “We are celebrating our resurrection today and are taking a trip to hell,” the 42-year-old announces at the beginning.
And delivers – not for the first time in her career – a merciless reckoning with the Catholic Church, with particular reference to the Archdiocese of Cologne and its diocesan bishop Rainer Maria Cardinal Woelki. First, she lists the top deadly sins of the church – all funded by the taxpayers, who transfer €600 million to the religious institution every year.
Carolin Kebekus and the Church
As a highlight, Kebekus is presenting a new TV format – based on the popular Netflix dome show “Too Hot to Handle”. Its concept is to lock a few people on an island who are not allowed to sin. Kebekus now presents a church version of this – the island is populated here by a group of clergymen. They have to abide by the following rules: no sexual abuse, no squandering money, no discrimination against homosexuals, no evidence disappearing. The title of the show: “Too Gott to Handle”.
At the start of the new season, Kebekus also welcomes a musician with whom she has a lot in common: Herbert Grönemeyer will appear in the course of the show. The musician used to always run at her house, the comedienne reveals in an interview with the DPA: “My mother was a huge fan, but even when I was partying with my friends, ‘Bochum’ ran up and down.” The 66-year-old has just released his 16th album entitled “Das ist los”.
Because of the Easter program, “The Carolin Kebekus Show” starts today as an exception at midnight, and from next week it will start regularly at 10:50 p.m. The current show starts at 8 p.m in the ARD media library available
