The body of a little girl recovered from the Seine

It’s a terrible discovery. This Thursday around 11 a.m., in Andrésy (Yvelines), the body of a little girl was recovered from the Seine not far from the lock dam, indicate our colleagues from BFM TV.

Divers were dispatched to the scene to recover the body of the young victim, simply dressed in denim shorts. According to the Versailles public prosecutor’s office, an investigation was opened to determine the causes of death.

A little girl disappeared in the Oise in March

The girl’s body would have stayed “for some time in the water” according to a source cited by the media. The body cannot be identified as it is and is the subject of DNA analysis. All avenues are currently being investigated.

This discovery comes three weeks after the disappearance of a six-year-old girl, who fell in the Oise on March 13, while she was playing on the quay of the lock in Saint-Ouen-l’Aumône (Val-d ‘Oise), only about ten kilometers upstream, just before the Oise flows into the Seine.
