The beaten teenager had filed a complaint of rape against the brother of one of her attackers

The teenager, who was beaten up in Lyon and whose attack was broadcast on social networks, had filed a complaint for rape against the minor brother of one of the young suspects, said the prosecution, thus confirming a information from BFM Lyon.

On the video, which the Rhône prefecture had called not to be relayed, we heard one of the protagonists say to the victim “Talk again about my brother” while she was hit successively by two young girls for almost a minute, receiving slaps, knees and being dragged to the ground, pulled by the hair.

None of the young suspects “had a criminal record”

In the end, four teenage girls aged 14 to 16 were prosecuted for “aggravated violence”. All were presented to a juvenile judge on Saturday and placed under judicial supervision. None “had a criminal record”, underlines the Lyon prosecutor’s office. The custody of the brother, implicated by the victim, “has been lifted” but “the investigations are continuing”, indicates the public prosecutor. The video, filmed on October 10, went viral after being posted on the networks at the end of the week, relayed in particular by far-right sites.

According to Progress, the first suspect, aged 13, presented herself to the police station saying she had received death threats after the video was broadcast. She and the three others were then taken into custody on Friday.
