Does Dennis choose Rebecca or Katja? Accepts Larissa Sebastian’s final rose: finale on “The Bachelors”.

“The Bachelors” are back in Germany. Dennis (30) and Sebastian (35) are examined in a hotel by the relatives of their two finalists in the last episode (Wednesday, 8:15 p.m., RTL and RTL+). Dennis first meets Rebecca (27). She has a cold, so the reunion isn’t as physically intimate as both sides had hoped. Rebecca first gives a kind of application speech for the final rose. “The attraction has evolved into feelings,” she says. She now wants to “master the future together” with Dennis.

“Love at first sight” for Dennis

Then Rebecca’s father and her best friend enter the hotel. “That’s him,” the father immediately says about his potential son-in-law. He leaves his girlfriend with Rebecca for “girl talk”. “I’ll take the boss,” he says, looking at Dennis. One gets a suspicion as to why Rebecca behaved slightly submissively towards her bachelor throughout the season. The same applies to Dennis’ other candidates who have come a long way, while Sebastian’s candidates were more self-sufficient and less accommodating. For Dennis, it’s “love at first sight” for Rebecca’s father.

Sebastian meets Eva (27) first, although he clearly has Larissa (30) on his mind. That made him flounder in the semifinals; Sebastian felt like a “Bachelorette” candidate. But now first a meeting with Eva’s family. “Are you in love?” the sister wants to know. Eva chooses the more cautious word “crush.” But her father seems to be in love with Sebastian; he can imagine being with him To be friends with bachelors. Sebastian is also already talking about a decision.

Larissa is looking for the fly in the ointment

Next it’s Katja (28)’s turn. She has more than just butterflies in her stomach, she says before meeting Dennis. He is patted down by two friends who not only look almost identical, but can hardly be distinguished from Katja. After their check, they describe Dennis as “male Katja”.

The last one is of course Larissa, the insecure cantonist among the finalists. Sebastian wants to make sure that she actually takes the final rose. She assures him of this, but in the individual interview doubts and fears of commitment continue to emerge. Her mother and her best friend examine Sebastian, and Larissa almost hopes that they see something negative about him that confirms her bad gut feeling. It seems as if Larissa is looking for a fly in the ointment. But her confidants find nothing.

“Preferably one scrubbed”

Dennis now has to decide. As usual on “Bachelor,” his speeches before the final rose are edited in parallel. He praises both Rebecca and Katja so much, it remains exciting for the audience until the end.

But with Rebecca, “something is missing,” says Dennis. He developed “more feelings” for Katja. Rebecca cries in the car, angry about all the unctuous words he had for her. She “would have liked to give Dennis a slap.” The Bachelor is also visibly touched. Katja tends to shed tears of joy. Of course she accepts the rose.

Sebastian in a quandary

Sebastian, on the other hand, is faced with a “difficulty,” as he later says. Does he choose the fickle femme fatale Larissa or Eva, the reliable girl next door? A constellation like in the film. But the decision seems to have been made. The direction doesn’t even try to suggest the illusion of an open race. Instead of a parallel montage, we first see Eva catching a basket, as expected.

Despite tears, Eva is composed. She is “grateful” to Sebastian for what he saw in her. He “repaired her heart.” After all, Eva went into the season with a broken organ after a bitter separation, and now she’s doing better than before, even without Rose. She is “proud of Sebastian” because he follows his heart.

The exciting question now is whether Larissa will accept his rose. She is not yet sure whether she is on the way to the “wedding or funeral”. “I have fallen in love with you,” Sebastian emphasizes again, although this confession in the semifinals caused Larissa to panic at the end. But despite remaining doubts, she takes heart – and accepts the rose.

Some good news from Frauke Ludowig.

So it was a happy ending for Sebastian, but how long did it last? This question arises in the subsequent talk with Frauke Ludowig (60). The answer is of course no. After three weeks, Larissa and Sebastian stopped trying to get to know each other in real life. Leonie (28) – Sebastian’s early favorite and who was eliminated just as early – reiterates her accusation in the studio that Larissa only wanted to be first and was not seriously interested in a relationship.

Eva is doing well, she now has a purely friendly relationship with Sebastian. He also maintains a friendship with third-place finisher Kim (30) – without benefits, as both emphasize.

The situation is less complicated for Dennis and Katja. When asked if they are still together, they answer with a kiss. Even if they are only in a long-distance relationship so far. Frauke Ludowig ends the first double season of the “Bachelor” franchise by announcing a new offshoot. She is launching a casting call for “Golden Bachelor” for singles over 60.
