In the summer, a woman is handing out roses on television again: The Bachelorette is back. Who is looking for true love this time and what exciting changes there will be.

There was already a change in the last season of “The Bachelor”: This year, two male singles handed out roses to female admirers. Now RTL has announced which ones woman will go looking for true love in the summer.

“The Bachelorette”: Stella Stegmann will be handing out the roses starting this summer

Stella Stegmann is the name of the bachelorette and for the first time in the history of the dome show, the single woman will be looking for both men and women: Stegmann is bisexual. “I think it’s time for the topic of bisexuality to be addressed, because it’s a very current topic and I’m happy that I can be a role model so that people just become a little more open and see that love doesn’t have norms knows,” she tells RTL. The Munich native has already become known as Playmate of the Year 2020 and as a candidate on “Too Hot To Handle”. Now she is embarking on an RTL dating trip to Thailand.

“I’m in love with the format and I’m positively excited. Because I like being the center of attention and I think that will be my thing,” reveals the 26-year-old. It remains to be seen who will convince them the most in the end. But she definitely sees differences between relationships with men and those with women. “It’s something different to date a woman or a man. I bond with women in a different way. When I date men, I also like the masculine. A woman, on the other hand, can also be very feminine,” she says .

Online, fans and former stars of the show reacted positively to the news that a bisexual candidate would be the new Bachelorette. “Do the candidates also live in a villa? It’s basically Bachelor in Paradise 2.0,” commented ex-“Bachelor in Paradise” candidate Max Wilschrey on Instagram. “I think the idea is very cool, as it will definitely be more unpredictable,” wrote ex-Bachelor Andrej Mangold in the same post.
