45 French nationals exfiltrated from Kabul to Roissy

The Afghan people want at all costs to flee the Taliban regime which has controlled the country since Sunday. Residents stormed Kabul airport terminals. A hundred people were expected at Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airport on Tuesday. Among them, 45 exfiltrated French nationals, as well as about sixty soldiers from foreign operations.

“The worst has been avoided” but “the battle continues” according to Macron

Emmanuel Macron arrived at the end of the afternoon at the Luc command post, an hour’s drive from Fort Brégançon where he has been living since early August. Tuesday evening, the fire devastating a large part of the Var had already covered 6,500 hectares and was experiencing resumptions: “The battle continues, the fire is not fixed and stabilized, the next few hours are particularly decisive”, insisted the head of the ‘State.

More and more patients with Covid-19 in intensive care

Nearly 2,000 Covid-19 patients were hospitalized in critical care departments on Tuesday. This threshold had not been reached since mid-June, according to data from health authorities. The authorities counted 245 new entrants in intensive care in the last 24 hours, more than the day before (178) or than the average of the previous days. A significant number of these critical care hospitalizations are concentrated in the south of France, in the Paris region, in Guadeloupe and in Martinique.
